Faith, Hope & Love

Faith has always been an important part of my life since age five. I was very blessed to attend exciting children's programs in Minneapolis and summer camps in Northern Minnesota. In college I was involved with InterVarsity and Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). Campus Crusade had conferences in San Bernardino, California that I attended several times. I also attended Chi Alpha, a Christian club, at the University of Minnesota. After college I got married and moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. I taught social studies at the St. Cloud Children's Home. Then I had three wonderful children, and I stayed home several years to raise them. We moved several times over the next thirty years and I worked with high school students as a teacher and a counselor in Minnesota, Florida, and Illinois.
Through the years I've attended many different churches where I have made lasting friendships. My faith has brought me through life's challenges, and the Bible has given me hope and wisdom. God is good all the time! Here are a few of my favorite verses.

  • Psalm 16:8-9

    Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (NLT)

    Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. (NLT)

  • Philippians 4:6-7
